John Ezzo
BACKGROUND
A 27-year Vistage member and now a Vistage Chair, John brings decades of leadership and entrepreneurial experience. He founded New Image Building Services in 1988, serving as CEO until October 2024, when he successfully transitioned the business to private equity. Under his leadership, the company grew into a full-service facility management firm with global headquarters in Michigan, operating across 19 U.S. states, Qatar, and Latin America. With over 1,200 employees and numerous subcontractors, the company became a recognized industry leader. Now, as a Vistage Chair, John is dedicated to helping CEOs lead more fulfilling lives.
John’s entrepreneurial journey included international expansion into Qatar, the UAE, and Latin America. He and his team played a key role in launching two of the Middle East’s most prominent landmarks, Dubai Mall and Hamad International Airport. He has also engaged in trade delegations with the U.S. State Department, including an industry trade mission to Brazil.
John holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan, where he has returned as a guest speaker, inspiring students to leverage engineering for problem-solving and entrepreneurial success.
A recognized thought leader, John has authored and contributed to numerous industry articles and books. He has spoken across North America on topics such as public relations, marketing, service diversification, and building high-performing management teams. His expertise has also led him to speak for the Department of Homeland Security, advising the nation’s largest real estate owners on safeguarding critical infrastructure from insider threats linked to outsourced facility services.
John is an ISSA BSC Council Member and a past president of Building Service Contractors International (BSCAI). He currently serves on the USGBC Detroit board and has been invited to contribute to the LEED V5 certification criteria for cleaning services.
Fluent in both spoken and written Spanish, John continues to apply his global experience and business acumen to mentor and support CEOs in their professional and personal growth.
