Meet our CEO coaches
Guiding business leaders to greater success.
BACKGROUND
Entrepreneur, aviator, and investor – David Perdue, Jr., CEO Peer Advisory Board Chair & Coach for Vistage Florida in the Sarasota/Bradenton, Tampa Bay/St Petersburg areas.
Perdue’s mission is just like when he flew in the military – Mutual Support. Helping business leaders improve their Quality of Life by helping improve leadership, making better decisions and driving better results, Perdue is a servant leader.
A CEO, just like a fighter-pilot, should NEVER fly solo! Thru confidential collaboration and Mutual Support, we cover each other’s blind spots, strategize, challenge, hold each other accountable and move together creating successful companies, successful lives, and successful families!
A third-generation entrepreneur, (his son a fourth-generation entrepreneur and Vistage member) has grown up in family-business in the telecom and finance industries. His paternal grandparents had a real estate firm and sold Elvis his first house. His maternal grandfather what a home builder and developer.
While serving on active duty in the USAF as a pilot, he began investing in commercial real estate and continued investing and developed and syndicated a couple of deals, primarily small multi-family and small office and was a licensed broker in several states as well as TN Commercial General Contractor license.
After active duty, he was a part-time pilot in the TN ANG and he founded and ran businesses in various industries. He experienced hyper-growth and new industry development when he founded and ran one of the first B2B broadband high-speed internet companies and transitioned that to primarily managed network security. He founded and ran a successful finance company providing asset-based lending to businesses for telecom, data, and avionics , and founded and ran a successful consulting firm with over 100 Fortune 500 companies on their aviation departments. He has also invested in a de novo bank.
Perdue has over 8,000 civilian and military flying hours with global operating experience. He is a CFI, CFII, MEI, ATP, type rated in several jets to include the 747-400 and was Honorably Discharged from the USAF at the rank of Major and was a Senior Pilot after flying several jet aircraft on Active Duty and Guard. Activated on 9/11, he flew numerous missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Noble Eagle for Afghanistan and Operations Northern and Southern Watch for Iraq.
He was awarded the Top 40 Under 40 in the Mid-South in 1998 and sat on numerous charitable and for-profit boards including Junior Achievement of the Mid-South and was appointed by the Shelby County Mayor to the Health Education and Housing Board. He is a graduate of The University in Memphis with undergraduate degree in Electronics Engineering and Commercial Aviation.
Perdue loves competition and is a PADI certified Dive Master, avid golfer, loves to mountain bike (flat here in FL though) and road bike and is now addicted to pickle ball and of course, flying.

The rewarding part about being a chair is working with the members and watching the growth over time that they can’t even see.

I’m a huge believer in the power of a group. Vistage combines this with the opportunity to work with high-performing CEOs and entrepreneurs. Together we create growth and value for each member, their employees, their families and their entire community.
George Glover
Vistage Florida Chair since 2016
As a CEO, I was blessed to have worked in five countries on three continents, and I thought that just the impact on people I’ve worked with and led was life-changing. But to be able impact those who I don’t directly work with—and their organizations—has been life-changing.
Allen Hauge
Vistage Florida Chair since 1994
The life of a Chair for me has been extraordinarily rich. If you have any orientation toward learning, it’s the best learning experience you will have as an adult, hands down.
“Chairing demands I give others the full range of my experience”
Chair Guillermo Hysaw fought racism on the football field and persevered through Jim Crow. He became a pioneering auto exec and, ultimately, a leader of leaders.
Arturo Lopez
Vistage Florida Chair since 2014
My approach to Chairing is firm, compassionate and resolute. I come from a military background and have worked hard to be an agile Chair. I help my members bring a warrior mindset to challenges so they’re prepared to face anything.
Liza LeClaire
Vistage Florida Chair since 2017
It’s not just helping them be more successful, it’s not just helping them make more money, it’s helping them be a better person.
Dwight Frindt
Vistage Florida Chair since 1994
What unleashes individual’s motivation? What gets team members focused, collaborating and acting effectively for a shared purpose? What keeps organizations productive and agile? These are the questions that drive my passion as a business leader and trusted advisor.
Mark Murphy
Vistage Florida Chair since 2012
I work with CEOs individually and in a peer advisory board format to help them lead more strategically, effectively and substantially on both personal and professional levels. I am passionate about calling forth a leader’s clarity and courage to act boldly in advancing their business.
